About the artist

Never truer words spoken than

find what you truly love doing
and make a living out of it

Some are lucky from an early age when the stars align, however for many of us, we get caught up in societal norms such as finding a partner, creating a family, buying a house and working to support our families, our lifestyles and then toward retirement. For many of us we do this by doing jobs that give us no pleasure, or for which our options are limited.

For me this was my life, however I was blessed with three amazing boys, and I was able to travel extensively.

The world opened to me from images left by our ancestors on walls and canvas that told stories of their journeys of life. It captivated me and I knew I had found an endeavour I wanted to do.

So, I sketched, drew and painted in my spare time. However, it wasn't until I met an Australian indigenous artist Michael Mason, that I discovered the technics I adopt within my works today.

You may see in my early pieces including the award winning, we as one has a distinctive Australian indigenous feel however Michael made it clear to me that I should never include Aboriginal dreaming into my art. I stay true to my word and conscious of cultural sensitivities and other aspects that may relate to my work.

The application of using dots as part of my images has become my distinct style.

It is my endeavor to create pieces that bring pleasure to the eye, to bring to life images in my style from ancient cultures from around the world.
